| Does anyone know if CE.NEt can be made to run on an existing netbook pro running the symbian OS? At present, the OS is loaded from a CF card .... which gives me the idea that CE.Net can be made to run likewise.
I do like my netbook but the limitations of Symbian means that it is gathering dust ... and I do not want to fork out for another machine if I can find way to run CE.net on it.

| Bish,
I'm sorry to report that it cannot be upgraded. The CPU and ram requirements, hardware are substantially different. CE is a lot more demanding.

| hi,
i don't think that's the problem. netbook (i don't think it's a netbook pro as that already runs ce.net) has 32 or 64 MB ram, and a 191 mhz strongarm cpu. i'm still not sure about the possibility of upgrading, though, not because of the hardware, it just can be complicated.. but maybe not impossible!

| Have you considered running linux, it may be your best option as it is propobly more supported than CE.net. The website address is http://www.netbook-linux.org/. Another website is http://staff.washington.edu/dushaw/psion/openpsion/. | |
