No, PPC2002 is CE3 based. WM2003 is ce4 based, but don't have interoperable drivers with CE4
ok i think i understand this....
hpc2000 pc2002::ce.net 4.1::wm2003
so then are ppc2002 drivers hpc2000 happy?
thanks for the help so far (and the patience )
no, no, but ce.net 4.1 is sometimes compatible with wm2003 at a driver level (am i right, snappy?! )
http://www.pretec.com/driver_download_center.htm
From this site ...
Quote CompactWLAN Driver for Pocket PC 2003 / Ce.NET (New)
This is ze driver that works on CE.NET 4.1 on the SL4.
Does it mean that PPC2003 and CE.NET share somewhat compatible bin-base? Beats me ... |

From the site, it appears ppc2003 / CE.NET may share similar binary format. |

| Snappy, i just looked at your wifi driver. it is nothing like the standard wince 3.0 pretec drivers...
what's more it doesn't call even aygshell (let alone mfcce or others ). so it really doesn't look like a standard wm2003 driver even the installation note tells you not to worry about incompatibilty "4. Doesn't matter what message pop up, just click OK to continue." HAHAHA (i saw you mentioned it in the jokes section )
ah and it isn't only for pretec, but ambicom too (doesn't surprise me ) |

Aguila, see opensimpad.org for more info. You may want to check if your wifi card has the right drivers. btw, what card is that?
Further, you can always flash back to hpc2k after that if you do not find 4.1 to your liking. |

| Hello, I´m from Germany and my english is not so good.
I have a simpad SLC 32MB with WinCE 3.0 and i want to update to Ce 4.0 or 4.1. But i can´t find any downloadable images/roms at the siemens homepage or in the web. So, can you say me, where i can find roms? (german roms (4.0) preferred, but english ones are ok, too)
Thanks for your help. |

| you can find the english 4.1 rom with google.com
there's a german 4.1 rom which is actually the best out of all images. you can get it with a p2p program: emule or similar..
i do not recommend 4.0! |

| Hello, i´m sorry, I just found out that there is a difference between a normal simpad and a T-Sinus simpad. I thought i have an 32MB Rom, but i have a t-sinus pad, so i have only 16MB rom and 32MB ram. Does Win CE 4.0 run on the T-sinus Pad to? At emule i found an image that is 14MB, it calls "C421-DT-GER-104" and it can be installed on T-Sinus Pad or simpad CL4 (says the instruction). When i install it on my t-sinus, does the pcmcia-slot work anymore, because the CL4 hasn´t one. Or is it just a fake and will destrox my t-sinus pad? |
|
|
|
| One more question: Does the Bootloader v2.4 (Sl4,SLC) work on the T-Sinus simpad, too? |

sorry i didn't realize you had a t-sinus simpad. i think you can install 4.0 or 4.1 on it.
you'd better download the images from here: http://simpad.pdaclub.pl/linki.htm
i recommended emule only for the SL4 german 4.1 image.
edit: hmm i see now you got a german version from emule... so you can try it if the instructions really state that it is compatible with the t-sinus Edited by cmonex 2005-10-23 1:59 PM
