Hi BurnedOut, I'm the elusive TFGBD.
About your Korean translation:
I am pretty sure Windows CE already has Korean translation available. I'll look into it for you and find out what exactly gets translated, but more recently I've been kind of busy with non-CE stuff.
I know some things like the IE CE control panel are considered "samples" by MS and are sadly English only. There are Korean IMEs availble as well. Unless I misunderstood you, the reason Korean characters do not display with your hand translated MUIs is because your device does not have korean fonts and/or a Korean wince.nls installed. I assume what you described is similar to what happens when one attempts to run a Japanese languag WinCE application on an English or French device with no built in Japanese language support.
Woowha
other guys sad, you are "Greatest H/PC hacker on earth"
I'm honored
so, my sig can display korean character.
I tried to modify caption in the cplmain mui file, and I got weired result. that is, dialog title changed "dialog title+another caption which must represent other section
(dialog property, etc
)"
that is following :
"System property" Dialog has 4 tabs; General, Memory, Device Name, Copyrights.
and I modified that caption into korean with resourcehacker.
than I got result following:
"System property" Dialog still has 4 tabs but they got weired caption.
General -> General?Memory?DeviceName?Copyrights
Memory -> Memory?DeviceName?Copyrights
Device - > DeviceName?Copyrights
Copyrights -> Copyrights
I don't know what is the problem. I just edit only 'caption'...
question : How can I get the ROM file of CE.net 4.1?
(I tried dump my sig rom, but it didn't work...
)
If I have, I'd like to translate CPL file into korean...
