| OK boys and girls, the NTT DoCoMo Sigmarion III Multilingual User Interface pack version C has been released. All the lucky owners of a Sig3 grab it while it's hot.
The new file adresses most of the bugs from previous releases:
-Installed program shorcuts are now displayed in the "Programs" submenu under the Start menu, no need to move those pesky ".lnk" files
-Control panel's "Send to desktop as shortcut" feature now works
-Removed Japanese IME
However, at least one bug still remain.
-Flash player incompatibility
Also, i've included there are install instructions in a separate RAR archive.
currently, there are two ways for getting the software
Preferred: Go to Yahoo! Handheld PCs group, to the files section, MUI pack is called "0409-C.rar" and install instructions are "0409-mui-doc.rar"
Alternate: go to www.matrixcore.net, Handheld PCs, Sigmarion III, and download the same two files from there

I *think* i don't know what you mean with that, as the MUI pack translates the whole control panel, with exception of two icons.
there are only 4 files with " .cpl.mui " extensions: below is the list and what does each one translate.
connpnl - the connections panel applet
inetcpl - the internet options applet
intll - regional settings applet
cplmain - this one is the most important, as it translates the rest of the control panel icons
as cmonex said, TFGBD compiled the MUIs, i just made the cab installer which complements the MUIs |

| Oh, I just downloaded and installed *.CPL files...
yeah, I got translated control panel after 0409c.cab file.
that is good work. many thank you for your explanation...
but, in my case, I have another problem, MUI Pack is conflicted with
Korean language pack which made by korean users.
so, I tried to resolve that problem...
btw, I have a question. how can I modify MUI file? I tried to modify MUI
file with resource hacker and exescope. but there are some problem when
I touch string table. |

cplmain.CPL.0409.mui file.
I tried to modify English caption to Korean in Dialog and String table,
for example,
32784, "PC Connection" ? Translate Korean ? "PC ??"
32785, "Changes desktop connectivity settings."
? Translate Korean ? "???? ?? ??? ?????."
then save and copy that file into my sig.
and I opened control panel, there is little weired PC Connection ICON.
normally, PC Connection Icon has one tab named PC Connection.
I have some weried tab named "PC??????? ?? ??? ?????."
that means, tab title changed 'PC Connection' to 'PC Connection?Changes
desktop connectivity settings' (may be represented 32784+32785 )
I tried resource hacker, exescope, evc4, but same rsults.
thank you for your kindness
edit : OOPS !! this site can't display Korean... Edited by BurnedOut 2006-04-27 10:13 PM

Cmonex, Err... Greatest H/PC hacker on earth? I dunno about that, but I'm flattered you think so.
Matrixcore, the package you made for the MUIs is great. Its too bad I don't have a SIG3 to try it out on.
Hi BurnedOut, I'm the elusive TFGBD. About your Korean translation:
I am pretty sure Windows CE already has Korean translation available. I'll look into it for you and find out what exactly gets translated, but more recently I've been kind of busy with non-CE stuff. I know some things like the IE CE control panel are considered "samples" by MS and are sadly English only. There are Korean IMEs availble as well. Unless I misunderstood you, the reason Korean characters do not display with your hand translated MUIs is because your device does not have korean fonts and/or a Korean wince.nls installed. I assume what you described is similar to what happens when one attempts to run a Japanese languag WinCE application on an English or French device with no built in Japanese language support.
