Has someone been able to run Netfront 3.1 on J720.

I have tried but it require cellcore.dll.

I have a copy of that library but it does not work with Netfront 3.1.

I have renamed cellcore.dll in serial dll but without success

Thanks

it's interesting. i've just got netfront 3 to work, and i didn't need cellcore.dll... is version 3.1 so different? i read it's a core system dll and usually isn't needed.. you're sure about it? if not, then maybe my dll's would work with 3.1 too (i can send them to you).

did you manage it in the end?
i'm stuck at a point the program will run only to a certain point and then it shuts down before fully starting. with the infamous message about illegal operation.

i'd mention too that when the illegal operation message is in the foreground, you still can access all the menus... webbrowsing doesn't work but anything else does seem to work to a certain extent of course only until you press ok on the "illegal" message...

Don't forget that stub dlls can call additional dlls from the system that are unrelated to the application files. The hacked dll could be calling another part of the PPC OS - the TCP/IP stack would seem to be a logical call for example.

hmm. but these are the same dlls used for version 3.0. so they must work.. or not? hmmm
i think the problem is with cellcore.dll tried to rename it to serial.dll, ceshell.dll.... neither of them worked. and this dll is called almost at the end of the exe file. so maybe that's why it starts partially..
oh and not only browsing doesn't work but the address bar isn't displayed either. i could get it to display but then it was quite funny, too large. sadly when i typed in an address, it didn't do anything again.
