difficult when you don't have the time in the end.

ProgramSynthesiser: you have too much free time. what was the use of this pointless and nasty comment?

Good luck for your exams, Cmonex: Minimo can wait...
Is Minimo really worth the attempt to make an HPC2000 port ? when I read the latest comments about Minimo in PPC forums, it seems to be very very slow and much worse than the built-in IE.
I tried all possible alternative browsers on my Toshiba E800: in my opinion, the only really interesting alternative is Opera.
In general, new internet applications use Winsock2 (WS2.dll) instead of winsock.dll: we should concentrate our efforts on this aspect if we want to be able to run any new browser on HPC2000... I am afraid that it might be very difficult, if not impossible... And it may require a lot of knowledge...

wow, good point on the ws2.dll. i forgot that minimo might use this.. does it?
and no, i was never impressed by minimo though some people claim it improved a lot. i'll see for myself. Rocketman says it renders stuff better than IE6

The desktop quality rendering and support for ajax/web 2.0 ish sites makes Minimo worth it for me. It is a bit slower than IE, but that is mainly startup time, now.

Slightly off-topic: the final version of Netfront 3.3 has just been released. I hope that it works even better than the demo version...

Cmonex,
The answer to your question is yes, Minimo does make use of WS2.dll. When I made my first attempts with execheck, you were kind enough to send me the dll when I couldn'f find it .

If i don't mistake only the latest version of Minimo use ws2. The earlier use little system resource and many .dll of the program.

I think that port it on HPC 2000 be worth the effort because it read more internet page that Netfront ad has a better set of java script..

PPC user compare it with IE 5.5 or 6 but we have to challenge with IE 4.
