OK...

i lent a hpc pro mips machine, my trusty nec mobilepro 770, to TFGBD by means of netop. so he could use it remotely. and sure enough, we hacked a few nice apps for it!
we even fixed execheck to properly report the errors on hpc pro! it was TFGBD's idea that there's another, embedded exe in it that still had the wrong OS version .. i just did the hexedit.

some screenshots to follow.

working pocketpc app: pocketrubik... works just perfect...

not really working: remover (sktools)

then, working hpc2000 apps...

pocketartist (newer hpc2000 only version. the ppc2000 version didn't work too well)
gsplayer
and winwatch itself! it does resize the windows just fine.

so i think there's many new possibilities for hpc pro hpc's

MIPS Only? Any chance for SH3?

well, mostly MIPS. but SH3 has a chance too. there's only a very old aygshell.dll that i could find for SH3. i didn't try it yet. ... soon but i posted a request in the developer section a long time ago that i have the aygshell source for that old SH3 one and that if anyone wants to develop it further i can provide the source. no one was really interested

Sorry. I should have mentioned that it was Pocket Artist 2.0. I didn't try the newer 3.0 version yet.

This really only seems useful on MIPS and ARM for now.
Sadly, since there were no SH3 Handheld PC 2000 machines, there is no H/PC 2000 software to run on SH3. So for SH3, you are stuck with trying to run SH3 Pocket PC software and as Cmonex already suggested, there are really no good implementations of an aygshell for SH3 processors. So you will likely be limited to the simplest of simple P/PC apps. :/

I dont have a CE 2.11 based PSPC , I only have a CE 2.01 based one .. I can recommend the Casio E-15 Palm Size PC, they are pretty cheap, MIPS, grayscale and runs CE 2.11...
