It has nothing to do with SP2, it is Windows XP. There are guides on getting it working under XP.

Help you do what, you've not given me anything to go on?
Anyway, all the information you need is in CESDS0002

Edit: Double post rule...

That says Windows NT SP2, you're using Windows XP Remember this software is 9.5 years old now.

I followed all the instructions on CESDS0002 and my Velo just says physical layer established and H/PC does nothing, and, Windows XP is built on NT technology.

I just followed footnote 3 then on my Velo i dont connect but i get a error messgae saying: cannot start communications with the desktop computer. Remote networking could not start due to critical error (error 628).

Please reconnect the HPC. if the proplem persists, restart the HPC using the instructions provided by the manufacturer.

OK.

Have you fiddled with the port speeds on the H/PC or XP? If so, undo that.
Please reboot your computer, disconnect from the Internet, kill off your firewall and anti-virus, and tray services which make use of serial ports, soft reset the H/PC and try it again.
