glad to hear you sorted it out before i had a chance to check into this i guess you have to add aygshell.dll too, but GAPI will do that for you maybe (i didn't try version 3.03, just 3.02 and that one did copy the dummy dll's if i agreed to it )

no i didn't have to copy aygshell.dll. Maybe GAPI did do that but I know I did it on a clean system with absolutely nothing installed but those three programs

Ok so I started messing with more pocket pc apps on this thing. I am now trying for monopoly. What I need is the olece300.dll for pocket pc 2002. I tried the ones on you website cmonex but to no avail. Do you know where I can find them or if I was at the wrong place on your site where exactly I can find it. Thanks

Well I finally got exe check to run on all exes and dlls without an error but when I open it up it just shows the hourglass for about half a sec and then goes away and nothing. And if I try it too many times it fills up the memory and won't let me do anything without resetting the device. That almost makes me think there is no hope. I have found two games that are for the ppc but work on mine without any extra dlls. Only GAPI and Nyditot. The games are Legacy and BSHacker. The extent of how much they work is unknown as I only got them to open so far.

This is just a idea I came up with now that I have gotten into the whole conversion thing. would there be interest if I set up a forum that was dedicated solely to apps and games that were written for ppc but can work on hpc. What it would be is a thread for each game and the exact steps to get that game working including the files used. The software if it was uploaded would have to be freeware, shareware, or open source. Just let me know if there is good enough interest and if people would pass the word along.

well, you could start the thread on this now. and if it gets large and active enough then a new forum can be dedicated to this. until that, i doubt it... maybe not even then, the site policy isn't really advocating ppc hacking of course you're still allowed to create threads on these. so why not do it now?

Which DLLs did you use to get Millionaire to work? (I haven't had any luck yet - I got a weird jumbled screen. ) |

I would like to see a forum area for this as well. It's always exciting to be able to breathe more life into our H/PC's

790HPC: then start a thread as i said. that may develop into something more serious (ok, i doubt a forum section would be dedicated to this... site policy ) but if you never start it you'll never have it

I somehow got the UK version and it worked without any dlls. Just installed it and deleted the gx.dll and it worked. I am looking for the US version so I at least have a chance on it. |
