With all this stuff I am doing on my website I am looking for a low cost or free cab creator. I found two but one is no longer available and the other is about $200. I am doing this stuff for free so I am not willing to pay that price. Thanks

Microsoft's cab scripting system is completely free.

Your sub-domain forum.taylorhomeonline.com isn't working, taylorhomeonline.com/forum/ is.

Be advised that you're walking into a legal minefield especially if you're offering downloads.

Does this one do it for the HPC cabs?

Maybe it was just a fluke because it is working now

All the software on there is trialware. If it is not trialware it is freeware which is released all over the place. I don't mess with full versions or nothing like that. I don't see the legal issue of that.

I wouldn't have said it if it didn't

It's not working here. DNS states: can't find fourm.taylorhomeonline.com: Non-existent domain

For the taylorhomeonline.com:

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: taylorhomeonline.com
Address: 68.178.211.42

It works, so check your forum. sub-domain is anchored to an A name, and one that has a valid public IP lookup path.

OK. Well it might have something to do with you being in the UK. I will drop the subdomain and just have a regular web address to make it fully accessible. Thanks for letting me know. My Webpage

It's nothing to do with that the DNS record is mal-configured. www. works, so it testifies that there are no barrs.

Well I don't have the option to mess with that stuff because I am on a shared server for hosting through godaddy.

Both of those urls work for me...must be it was fixed.

And I agree with C:Amie about the downloads. Just be careful. Some shareware/trialware specifically states by the author that you can host it on any site as long as it is offered in its original form and not modified. Other shareware/freeware states that you have to have the author's permission...even though you will find it in a zillion other websites.

Chances are no one will ever say a thing about what you post and don't. But for those that I do host, you can bet I have a letter or email from a representative saying it is okay. I'm not taking any chances.

Rich

Could be a slow DNS prop, I'll keep an eye on it and let you know.

Everything there Rich said so eloquently and I didn't.

*clears throat* "What he said!"
