I am trying to transfer my Jornada 720 pocket word document to my Windows XP computer. I am able to transfer the file easily, I just cant open it. I have Microsoft Office Word 2003 and I also have word perfect. None of these programs allow me to open my pocket word files. What do I do?

Pocket word files open in notepad, and you can read them - there is just some very simple formatting on the left side. It looks like a simplified rtf.

Second CMonex suggestion. Open Activesync, go to TOOLS/OPTIONS/RULES/ and then select CONVERSION SETTINGS.

Click on Device to Desktop tab and find PocketWord in the window. Click on it and then select how you want it converted as it transfers. If you are using a CF card, then you must save it in a format that the desktop Word will recognize, RTF will keep most of your formatting.
