I just read the article about virus threats on CE, written by Chris Tilley (C:Amie), published in Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine AUG/SEP 2006 issue, page 54.

Their website publishes some of the articles from the magazine sometimes. But as you can see here, they haven't published this one:
http://www.ppcmag.com/_archives/aug06/
Will they do it for this article? If not, can you publish it here on this site?

It's quite a good read, and answers a lot of the questions on security and virus, that we sometimes get asked on the forums.

BTW Chris's picture is also published in the magazine

CE Geek: it is a good article as always with C:Amie's articles, sadly not available freely, otherwise i'd always refer to this article when i get the question asked about which antivir program to install on the hpc/other pda...

Okay - took me a while to figure out that that's what takwu meant when he said that some articles aren't published online. (Boy, am I getting old! ) So that means we don't get to see what C:Amie looks like?

Not sure what the big deal is.
One quick google search and I was able to find pictures of Chris and Clinton (I'll leave it to the read to figure out which one is which)

Clint's the one on the right - we've already seen a pic of him elsewhere.

You're all a bunch of vultures, you know that?

I had a bet with Hurricane John on how long (if at all) it would take someone to notice.

Suffice it to say, you've all done terribly

For those who want to read it, the original H/PC version of the article is scheduled to go up at some point today, as it happens. They wont be publishing it as far as I'm aware, because the copyright remains with me for replication onto HPC:Factor

I had almost given up hope....I just saw the Oct/Nov issue of SP&PPC Mag hit the newstand this weekend, so I was beginning to think that nobody on this forum reads the magazine.

Of course everyone in Europe has a good excuse (the magazine is not available there), but all of you North Americian's shame on you.

Lucky for you C:Amie is willing to make the article available right here....... soooooo now that you know about it....let's just say that it is manditory reading! A quiz will follow

lol, actually I bought the magazine almost as soon as it hit the shelves, and no, it wasn't because of Chris's article I bought it because of the cover story, UMPC Will it replace the Pocket PC?

Honestly I do not read every article in the magazine right away, especially those (like this one) in the Enterprise Solutions section. However I try to read thru them within the life of the issue (two months). It is called the August/September issue, so the fact that I read it within the month of August was excusable. I may have done poorly, but at least I passed

Yeah guys, read the Handheld PC Pocket PC Smartphone & Pocket PC magazine!
