can anyone give me a quick rundown of the linux and unix variants that can be installed on the Jornada 690? I know jlime, and I have seen some information about NetBSD, but are there any others? As far as installation, how do they rate? I am unix command-line savvy but I use an OS X laptop (PBG4) and don't have access to a windows or linux machine.

The only version that is activley maintained at the moment is JLime. NetBSD had a resonable level of support but not much has been happening lately.

If OS X can partition and format drives in the Linux format you should be able to install most other OS's. If not, then the JLime installer seems like the most likely option.
