| I would be very grateful if someone who has got a copy of Platform Builder for CE.net could help me for a new project. I am looking for some MIPS ready compiled files from CE.net 4.20 (4.10 would also do ).
Thanks in advance for your help...
Answer in this thread or send me a PM. |

| I'd like to try several things. First of all, I am looking for Windows Media Player 9 files: i'd like to try WMP9 on mips HPC2000 or at least get the required dlls for WM9 support in TCPMP (wmadmod.dll, wmvdmod.dll, wmsdmod.dll). |

| Hey Geared2003! What are you up to with WMP? I just did a search for WMV support and posted a thread in HPC 2000 just the other day.
Have you been to http://mabin.info/ and the "Unofficial TCPMP Site"? I downloaded the version he has there and the WMP9 codec at the bottom of his download page and I can play WMV files encoded in Version 9. It's very cool.
I also loaded the WMP located on HPCFactor thread "Video Playback of .mov files on Jornada 720" by TFGBD and that one can handle .ASX streams from websites that TCPMP doesn't. (i.e. our local NPR affiliate requires a login which WMP can handle but TCPMP gives an error ). The drawback is that WMV video encoded with version 8 or above will not showup.
I learned from the microsoft site that the ceplayer in Platform builder for CE Net 4.2 lists support for the WMV9 codec. Is this the same player, and can it be modified to run on a Jornada 720 like TFGBDs version?
Since I already encode videos on my PC with Windows Media Encoder, running them through it to make them portable would be fast, even if the playback is choppy. I can then use them on my PPC as well. I think the quality of video playback in ANY format (like for watching movies ) is not-so-great on a Jornada. What interests me most is being able to access online, low-res content like news stories and such.
So if you are fooling around with something like that, let me be one of the first to say, go for it! Good luck. Let me know if you need a tester or anything. |

| With these 3 dlls, you can play any WM9 file with TCPMP... Have you got those ?
For a full WMP9 ( Ceplayer.exe) , many files are required.
