I am sure that the entire board and community would like to join me and the staff this evening in welcoming a new addition to the community.

Weighing in at 8lb 2oz (3.69kg) and logging-on at 12:54 BST please welcome our newest, (and first hereditary) member; Jonathan 'Chiark' Junior.

Congratulations to the glowing parents from everyone here at HPC:Factor. Both mum and baby are doing well, and, when last seen, dad was - as you would expect - grinning from ear to ear.

Everyone's doing wonderfully. The delivery was via c-section, so my wife will be in hospital for a couple more days yet: I'm getting all the sleep that I can!

This is our second - our first is 3 years old. I was reminded of the Joy of Kids yesterday when changing one of the first nappies. I never knew that you could blow bubbles like that, and I never would have guessed how far stuff spreads.

It is all worth it
