Here is a link I found at General Paranoyaxc Software. http://www.rainer-keuchel.de/wince/celib.html

It is called CELIB.dll and was used to port emacs, perl, xfree, apache, tex and other programs to wince. We might be able to use this for our server somehow... Anybody have ideas on how to use this dll?

I ran ApacheCE on my Sigmarion I, and it worked pretty well..

I've been looking into it a bit, but just cant get anything to work properly.
I'm kinda lost on porting linux to winCE.

Anyone knows what I need to use for a develop/compile enviroment.
I found some stuff on PocketGCC, and it mentions something about a cygwin setup and all, but to be honest, I dont have a clue where to begin.

if someone has suggestions on where to start, or how to setup something that I can at least compile something from a linux source into a winCE exe (arm prefered), please let me know.

Apps on my list to port are like CenterICQ and LYNX for starters, just to see if its possible.

I'm especially curious about your port of LYNX. Are we talking about the text-based web browser?

I havent got started yet, when I have a clue on what to setup and how to actually compile something from a linux-source to WindowsCE, Lynx is on my list to get ported.
Untill then, I need to find out how to get actually started.

Lynx is a textbased browser.

As a person who just got his first hpc last week, I'd like to make use of the main advantage of the device. the keyboard. I dont like using the stylus AND the keyboard to get things done, so textbased apps are my main prio.
Linux has hundreds of usefull textbased apps, so it's a likely way to go.
