Polls & Interactivty

Just a quick reminder to the community that we run community and developer polls here on the home page of the site.

It is important for as many community members as possible to show their support for the developer community, who are the people who request the content of the polls we run on the site. Likewise, it is just as important for this site that you get involved, tell us what you think and tell us how we can get things done better for both you and the community.

Things won't change unless you tell us they need to!

So please spend a few second taking part in the homepage poll, all individual user results are of course completely confidential and will not be released. If you have any suggestions for a future home page poll, please do get in touch!

Come on folks, it only takes a few seconds to cast your vote and (as C:Amie mentioned) it provides important information to H/PC software developers and to the good people who run this website.

It seems pretty self evident, but C:Amie's post wasn't directed at forum members who already voted or who normally vote whenever there is a new poll posted.

I believe (C:Amie please correct me if I'm wrong) he is attempting to appeal to new or existing members who haven't voted, by explaining to them why it is important that they take the time to vote.

Class dismissed.

I got it, cmonex. But I think the point is that we need people to pay attention to the polls in the first place.

Just the same, you may be on to something. Maybe more than one poll at a time. (Not lots of them, but maybe two. Getting people to respond to one that they find interesting will draw their attention to the one next to it as well.) Another thought is, maybe the poll could be a bit bigger, so it's harder to miss. (No criticism intended here, just some ideas. C:Amie has already done a terrific job putting the home page together. )

We're a little pushed for space on the fp I think. I'll see about getting the poll centre back from v1, and have several going on that, plus the archives.

In order for teacher to more on, you have to pass all your multiple choice questions and demonstrate an understanding of what you know. Although you may think you know it, that doesn't help teacher to know you know it lol

that's only in the exam period. not in the class during the semester.

This is a school of life long learning, and I'm cruel; I don't give holidays.

Anyway, in case anyone was wondering after the strength of my conviction. I'm not changing the FP poll until it reaches 100, so get voting if you haven't already!!!
