C:Amie - thanks for providing the link! I should know by now that most people who use this site probably link directly to the Forums...I shouldn't assume that they read the News posted on the front page. My bad!

Too bad MDict is not compatible with CE2.0, but on the bright side, I could use wikipedia on my hopefully future MP900... Anyway, it is cool that Wikipedia Works on HPCs

MDict will work fine with the MP900, but I don't believe it runs on the 900c.

Oh okay, I see John.. In the MDict review here on factor, it said it had a CE.net 4.1 version, does that not work with the MP900c?

I don't see it listed on Rich Hawley list of 900c compatiable software at www.HPCNEC.com so I assume that he couldn't get it to work.

If I am wrong about this, then I'm sure that Rich will correct me, next time he visits this forum.

Cmonex - I emailed Rich Hawley and he told me that he cannot get MDict to run on his 900c.
I guess you did not share the hacked version with him!

I had it listed as good with the 900C, then I had it listed as not good with the 900C. Problem was I forgot to copy over the coredl2 file....but it does work on the 900C.

Sorry John, my bad. Will update the listing to show that it works.

One other thing...that Wikipedia file is 166mb in size. Yow. But what an encyclopedia it is. Sounds like a good one to put on a 256mb CF card and just leave there. Nice thing about MDict is you can run it from the same CF card as well and still have room for other dictionaries. Nice that you don't have to eat up your device ram with this stuff.

Very nice. Very nice indeed. Quicker and easier than the real wikipedia site, even! My gf is using my hpc for her university course at the moment. Now whe has a complete encyclopedia with her at all times. Very useful.
