| The framerate is given as 29 FPS. Might be a tiny bit much for the 728. Try reducing the framerate to 20 FPS with a video converter. DVD Catalyst will make this conversion easily:
http://www.dvdcatalyst.com/
All you have to do is select Handheld_PC_DIVX as the output format and click "Next," and it'll do the rest. |

| Believe me, it's worth it. DVD Catalyst is a very good video converter with a simple interface, and the output file will be much smaller due to smaller bitrate and screen size. But it'll flow nicely when viewed on the 728. |

| What version of GAPI is the best to maximize the Jornada 728 features? I have loaded a newer version than 3, but seems just to add feathers for other devices and changes the interface some.
I too would recommend DVD Catalyst!!

| Hi,
Can someone test this new player I posted on this board? I want to know if it runs OK on hpc. It runs fiune now on WM2003. It will
play allmost everythin: jpg, wma,mp4,mp3 etc...
http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=110760&whichp...
Thanks.
NB: Use the CE3 version. I converted the original to run on ARM instead of Thumb using the XScale2ArmV0.3.exe tool.

| Hey, very good job and nice vista style skin!
Here is a picture of the program running on my 900c (cmonex v.2 )..
It has the same old back light issue..so you have to edit the registry backlight from oldbatterytimeout and oldactimeout to batterytimeout and actimeout and set them to 0..otherwise very nice player!
Just a couple of things: is there a way to have access to the Settings of the player? Also, which are the files supported? It seems to me that it does not support .flv files..

| Thanks for testing. Look very nice to me on that resloution.
You can change the SKIN yourself. Use resource hacker
to extract SKIN.CPS (=zip file ). In there you will find skin.xml
and bitmaps.
Settings are stored in \Application Data\Ingram Player\config.xml
Perhaps you can change something there? Otherwise in the registry.
Cheers

| Have you planned to add the Settings option to the player without having to edit the config.xml file? |
|
|
|
| You can try this in skin.xml:
<!--- <BUTTON ACTION="aboutbox.popup" TABSTOP="1" LEFT="8" TOPC="0"> --->
<!--- changed the about into settings, tweakradje 08 --->
<BUTTON ACTION="settingsdialog.popup" TABSTOP="1" LEFT="8" TOPC="0">

| Try this skin.cps http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=105206&...
Put it in the same folder as the player.
Underneath it is coreplayer 1.0

can't wait, ... as I'll remove EVB anyway, I'll have space to put that in v3.
This is my new skin...
The taskbar at the bottom is also new: its not based on Wisbar/Gigabar. It is a new feature of my updated Gshell project.
Does anybody know if either that TCPMP or the taskbar skin are available anywhere? Edited by Dan 2008-10-17 3:18 PM

| At the risk of asking a question that has been asked before, is there any possiblity of getting a version of the HPC Media Player for the SH4? Even a limited version, with WMA and the capability to connect to online radio would be a great improvement. |

IIRC HPC Media Player is basically TCPMP bundled with extra media format plugins. There never was an SH4 build for TCPMP. I tried awhile back at getting an SH4 build for it, but gave up after spending a lot of time getting nowhere. |
