humm, interesting, that usually implies that the registry was not configured.

If toggling it on and off in outlook today doesn't solve it look in
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Today

The defaults are:

CustomUrl = "outlook5.htm"
RSSEnabled = "True"
SSSFeedURL = "http://www.hpcfactor.com/news/rss/view.asp"
RSSItems = "5"

top right there is a link to Outlook Today Options, simply change it to one of the other themes, save and then change it back again.

Thanks. I couldn't get the HPCFactor Today theme to work (the options link wasn't there - just the error message and nothing else) but I have at least got my original Today screen back using the inner workings of the Outlook settings menus. Might try it again when I'm back home. I'm away using my far more sensible mac this week

Nic,

It may be that there is a compatiblity issue with SP3, I have never tested against it.

I'll see if I can look into it myself.

Nic,

I just went and victimised someone with Outlook 2003 SP3. When you install Today it will ask you if you want to overwrite a newser file with the old one - you need to say Yes to this.

SP3 seems to have changed the version number on the DLL that runs the HPC:Factor Today Plugin.

If you say no to this, then you will get a whole host of errors.
