Wow, we are at about 2,965 registered users, so almost to 3000 .. It literally seems like it was yesterday when we celebrated 1000 users . Either time goes by really fast or HPC:Factor is growing.. I think both

And this brings up the question of quality...of those members, how many have posted in the last 6 month, how many have even logged on in the last 6 months?

Any data C:Amie?

What do you mean by quality? It is 10:00 am I have logged in 3x since 8:15am and read most of the posts but have not made 1 reply until now. What is the emotion for smiling sarcasm-I'm just joking with you. This is a great forum-most questions are answered before I can be of any help. Generally I don't need much help myself.

So John, that leaves about 1/3 or 1000 people of the members listed not visiting within the last year. Still, 2000 active members is pretty sweet, but worldwide? I think we are a dying breed. Don't call me Pygmallion.

Keep in mind that 3000 registered/2000 active number is probably a subset of folks who have HPCs -- not everyone who has an HPC knows about this site. I think that's pretty good for a forum dedicated to "dead" technology.

Keep in mind also that a handful of members registered either a) only for the purpose of posting shameless ads for cell phones and the like; or b) mistakenly thinking this is another Pocket PC site.

Hmm, that's true too.. Anyway, about 2,972 members now.. I say 'About' because I guess there were a few account deletions and that sets off the numbers I think.. C:Amie can you clarify please?

I'd rather frequent a site that had 20 active members than a site with 10,000 inactive. That's what I like about HPCF, lots and lots of activity. We may go down someday, but it will be fighting...

It's hard to say if we are a dying breed or an under discovered breed?

I don't know how many emails and forum postings I've read that began with a statement similiar to this;

"I just discovered HPC's yesterday....I've been using a Peddle PC for years and had no idea these things ever existed. Where can I get information about this platform and is anyone still manufacturing these beauties "

How sad!
