Hello folks.
Ive been trying to send a file to my professor ,who owns a IPaq with Windows Mobile 2005.
I proudly own a A-11 running CE 1.0.

How to send a file via IrDA to other HPCs is easy and I know how, but what steps must be done on the IPaq? I remember that it worked once with a older IPaq from some friend of mine, but I guess it was Windows Mobile 3.0...I dont remember ( and simply, I dont care about PPC ). But now I must use the IrDA transfer, as it is beign very helpful on my graduation thesis (sketching the result of some algorithms with my teacher makes life a lot easier).

thanks

What type of file are your trying to send?

Another option might be to transfer the file using a CF or SD card!

A-11 doesnt have any other expansion slot than PCMCIA.
Im trying to send a Pocket Word document (wich, in turn is just a RTF file with a diferent tag - "\pwd" replacing "\rtf1"
the PPC always show "failed". I also tried the reverse: receiving a file from the PPC, wich gave-me the same error.

Also, I know its not a low level technical fault becouse the PPC receives the name of the HPC

Does that mean you use a CF card with an adapter in the PCMCIA slot?

the adapter costs like 10$.

anyway, on the ppc, do you use file explorer to send the file? you can try selecting send on the ppc first and then receive on the hpc - or the other way around.

i would try totalcommander too (on the ppc).

don't forget, there's an option to send to older devices, on the ipaq. i forgot exactly where but it is somewhere there.. when you try sending the file it'll offer that option.
