Why do I get the feeling you're using a plain CE desktop so we can see how great the Linux desktop looks by contrast?

Hah! No i just wanted to show that it was indeed running CE5, and i don't like having to run a separate program to get transparent icons in CE when using a wallpaper. However, now that you mention it, the linux desktop IS much sexier than the CE desktop with or without wallpaper.

Per the request for a 600x800 wallpaper.
Which color depth works?

24-bit color:

And, how does one go about getting these into the wallpaper gallery?

My previous wallpaper images will disappear soon. They have been put into the Wallpaper Gallery. http://www.hpcfactor.com/themes/pub/dt-walls/?f=600x800

This is a preview of a new "desktop skinning concept", using 48x48 true antialiased icons on my NEC 900c...

Did Geared2003 gave up making this new "desktop skinning concept"? And, if it's already done, does it run on J720?

Yeah, unfortunately Geared2003 left the H/PC community some time ago.

I think he finished it. I was running it on my MP900C. I ended up not using it for very long, but I don't remember why. It could be that I perceived a performance dip or didn't bother to reload it after a hard reset. I guess I just wanted my HPC to be a very good notetaker and if the "icing" got in the way, I sliced it away and reverted back to near-OEM settings (well, actually "standard cmonex" settings). Desktop eye-candy was definitely just icing on the cake.

You might check cmonex's site or google "Geared2003 Shell" (if you haven't tried it, you might find what you're looking for at http://www.hpcfactor.com/themes/shells.asp and http://www.hpcfactor.com/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=12124&po...).

Here's my main HPC Desktop. I have tweaked the appearance a little. By converting the bitmap to jpeg I did lower the quality (to lower the file size to under 100kb), but it should be fine for now.

During the 2008/2009 crash maybe? Click here for more info Mind you, I was a victim as well.

Where did 'Snappy!' go? His last login was in 2007!
