| I've successfully made a wisbar skin for my H/PC, the skin is just like XP's default theme (Luna ). here's the screenshot for it. The wallpaper is adapted from XP's "bliss" wallpaper.
i just copied and pasted the taskbar pics into wisbar.
BTW a question: does anybody know of a version of wisbar that will run in H/PC Pro units, i'd like to have this theme in the j680. i've been using gigabar, but it's themes are just ugly (hola.jpg)Attachments ---------------- hola.jpg (22KB - 59 downloads) |

| perhaps you should use the following dll's from Piddle PCs DocList (6.5 kb), aygshell (16.5 kb), mfcce300 (404 kb) and olece300 (254kb).
Hope this helps |

Hope this helps
BTW I'm talking about MSN messenger. . It's just an example of how the brand eats the product. now (almost ) everybody talking about messenger talks about MSTF's one Edited by matrixcore 2005-04-24 9:40 PM

| I'm with Beeker - just can't get Wisbar to work
I've tried the Pelmar and the Tillansoft installs and both just give me a dark blue taskbar with no start menu. If I use the windows key I can get into the Programs menu and click on Wisbar to get an options menu, but clicking on Settings doesn't get me anything. I have to exit Wisbar at this point. If I try to run wisbarsetup.exe I get a "Cannot find 'WisBarSetup' (or one of its components )" error. Maybe I just need the dlls you mentioned, MatrixCore, but where do I get them?
I've got a MobilePro 790 - that's HPC 2000 and Mips (as if you didn't know )
Matrixcore - I like that big Start button that you have - I've tried Gigabar and just couldn't stand the little start menu that all the skins have.
Thanks! |

| Are you guys using default / Pocket PC skin files?
They may be drawing incorrectly if you are. |

| Cmonex - I got the dlls (thanks! ) and have placed them in the WIS Bar directory, but get mostly the same results. The only difference being that I get a Fatal Application Error when starting WIS Bar and when attempting to use the wisBarSetup.exe.
I have looked in the forums for hexediting and have downloaded a hex editor, opened the WisBar files, the dlls and such, but I don't even know where to begin.
C:Amie - I'm using the default everything as far as I know - I can't get into the settings menu - it gives me that same Fatal Application Error.
Thanks again for any help here |

| Just an update...
I did manage to alter the mips CAB file with the hexeditor to reflect the proper dll names - changed references for the mfcce300.dll to 301 likewise with the olece300.dll to 301.
After installing I put the dlls in the wisbar directory and...still the same results.
Am I doing this right? Beause I still don't get a menu when I click the Wisbar settings!
ack! |

| sorry to hear it's not working
hexedit olece.dll itself too (it refers to itself! ), other than that no idea for now.. i don't have a mips machine. but i can try hexediting myself, and will post the hexedited installer later, maybe that can help. |

I got it working! Must've missed one of those dlls in the cab file before.
I'll post a screenshot later.
Thanks for the help! |
