The single most common reason for not trying Linux on a Handheld PC has always been the complication involved in getting it up and running. For most, the idea of having to possess knowledge to get anything done which may as well be comparable to that possessed by a nuclear physicist just doesn't appeal.

So when JLime entered the Handheld PC Linux sphere promising to change that, the idea of Linux being available to the masses seemed to be a step closer. Having released their first stable build, the aptly named 'Donkey' for the Jornada 600 series, has JLime managed to pull a white rabbit from their developers cauldron and truly made something accessible?

Charles Hague dives into the release and seeks to find out just how viable Linux is on the Handheld PC.

Good review. So, has anyone actually given JLime a try yet?
