Thanks for the tip.
I downloaded the software driver utility package & installed the ACU to the 900C.
Tried several times to get the 350 card to associate with my wireless router but failed repeatedly.
One last resort, I upgraded the firmware to the latest available (5.60.21) & used the WZC instead (ACU offered the option of configuring the wireless properties through 'external application'.
I finally was able to see the WPA-PSK & TKIP options for the security authentication.
From there on, it was smooth sailing.
Konker
ahh yes i remember now, "external application". i didn't see the cisco driver lately, so i was only going by the experiences of a friend, and forgot the option is called this way
and yeah, with cisco it is best to update the firmware. |

| Hey cmonex, I have a Linksys Etherfast 10/100 PCMPC100 card but I can't get it to work. Should I need extra drivers or will this just not work in ce.net? When I plug it in it doesn't ask for a driver, nor does it show up in the 'network' settings in control panel, however the lights do come on on the card. Any ideas? Thanks for your help!!

| cmonex,
awesome job on your v2 ROM for the 900 (C ).
I flashed my N900C (bought one from UsedHandhelds in perfect condition, definitely worth the extra bucks ) yesterday and the night was rather short.
You picked the right tools to include, threw out the really useless stuff of the original rom image, and the default settings are almost perfect for me (and others too I guess ).
With your ROM image the N900C becomes actually seriously USABLE and USEFUL!
Awesome, awesome, awesome job!
Will place a donation thru your site definitely.
Thanks,
Duke2k
(now a happy N900C user )

| hey, glad you like it thanks for donation! |

| I found one issue that's not so good though:
"note: important!!! the 900c jetcet drivers WILL break your (usb ) activesync connection! if you need activesync, use the hpc2000 ("900 cd cabs" version of jetcet instead."
I assume that's what wrecked USB connectivity for activesync in your v2 ROM image (you included the ce .net jetcet drivers ) ?
Any possibility to revert this and get activesync usb functional again?
Thanx,
D2k

| Wish I knew what you're talking about. I for one haven't had any problem connecting my 900C since I put in version 2. |

| Awesome job on the V2 ROM! The stock 900C was essentially a brick, and I was sorry that I dumped my 790....but now, it behaves like a real mobilepro should...
Donation will be heading your way!

| What version of Activesync is everyone using that no longer works? I'm using 4.5 and it works fine with Cmonex V2.
