I down loaded activesync 3.8 from HPCFACTOR to run on my desk top computer using windows XP

after when I installed the program it said there was registry error?

How can I get active sync to work or will it not work with windows Ce 2.0?

Please help?

sandro,

It will work with CE2. Please check that you are logged in using an account with Administrative privillages when installing ActiveSync. If this is already the case, the full error message would be useful.

You sure it's got the CE 2.0 upgrade? An A-11 with the upgrade ROM should have 6MB of memory, not 4MB...

Very strange. I thought the A-10 had 2MB RAM and the A-11 had 4MB, which became 4MB and 6MB when the unit was upgraded. Other than that, I think the A-10 and A-11 were identical. So maybe an A-10? Or maybe some other CE 2.0 ROM module that just happens to work with the Casio H/PC?

Anyway, I was just checking, since I don't believe ActiveSync works at all with CE 1.0 devices. (Unless there's some clever hack that I haven't bothered to look up. ) You have to use H/PC Explorer or whatever that software was called.

Sandro,

Assuming you are in a home environment of either XP Home or Professional:

Control Panel > User Accounts. You should see your log-in account listed with your display picture to the left of it, beneath your name it will say "Computer Administrator" or "Limited User". If it states the former, then you are OK, if the latter you need to switch account.
