Hi, I am using a Jornada 728 with a Linksys WCF12 Wifi card.

I used to use that card with a PocketPC, the Cassiopeia E-125. The utility had a "site survey" feature that basically scans for wifi networks.

Unfortunately the driver or utility doesn't work on the Jornada, and I have to use another one. I ended up using an H/PC driver for another Linksys card, WPC11. It has everything of the other utility except site survey

So my question is, is there another compatible driver with a similar feature? Or should I look for a seperate scanner program?

The WPC11 drivers are actually cracks and the application should be removed from the HPC once installed.
There is an application called ministumbler:

Which I believe does what you require it to do. There may be a slicht hack involved, I can't be any more specific than that as I don't use WiFi

Cracks?
I just downloaded it from Linksys, installed it, and used its dll when my wifi card is inserted
Why should it be removed?

There are a lot of problems surrounding the linksys drivers.
A lot of people actually resort to using Pocket PC drivers and in which the ultilie aplicaitons don't work.

We've refrained from entering driver compatibility data into the HCL because of the confusion over linksys. There's more in the support section.

In that case I guess I should be happy that everything is working perfectly for me, altho missing a scanner.

The WPC11 ver 3 driver actually uses the dll named "WCF11NDS.DLL", but the utility says WPC11, which works like a charm. I can set everything like WEP 128 bit and power save mode, and use different profiles - which comes in real handy as I move between all the hotspots and work place and home.

Yeah I saw in the WL100 setup page. You guys listed the WPC11 ver 2.5 driver, which I also tried.
The only difference I found was the dll filename; functionally they seem exactly the same.
