| The following was pulled off the wire service:
"It's with great sadness that I bring you the news that the last of the Dell Axim X51v line has gone out the doors of Dell and puts an end of a great run of Pocket PCs from Dell.
In late 2002, Dell released the Dell Axim X5. The Dell Axim X5 shook up the Pocket PC world offering a great device for a good deal less than it's competitors.
Dell followed up with innovative new devices for the next few years and ended up with the Windows Mobile 5 version of the Dell Axim x51v. This device was released more than a year ago and still remains one of the top of the line Pocket PCs out there.
For the last 3-4 months, I have been telling all the folks at Aximsite that it was going away. Only two days after I queried the community on which direction we wanted to move towards with Aximsite, the Dell Axim's disappeared from Dell's website.
There are some rumors popping up about a Dell Smartphone. While I hope I am wrong, I am being told by reliable sources that these have zero substance.
It was a great run Dell, good job, but I think you guys are making a big mistake pulling out completely."

| And to think, only a year ago Xmas, I bought a Dell Axim x5 off of Ebay and have rarely used it. I just spent the weekend installing programs and wi-fi, getting it into shape. Two days it took for me to find wi-fi drivers that were compatible with the Windows Mobile 2003 OS that this Axim has on it. | |

| I love my X5 - but I neglect it. Ironically, I rediscovered the H/PC while searching online for software for the Axim. | |

| Not so fast. Maybe they'll want to try their hands at making an H/PC. | |

Not without Microsoft's support of the OS......not going to happen!
Still it's a nice dream. | |

| Hey, it's all right to dream, as long as you don't drool on the pillow. | |
