With an 620MHz AMD AU1250, 128MB DDR2, 1.3 Mega Pixel digital camera, Bluetooth, SD & MMC Slots, USB 2.0, 100Mbps WiFi, GPS, DVB-T TV tuner, FM radio and Windows CE 5.0. Clearview Technology can walk the walk in terms of boasting a fully featured hardware specification, but they are missing one crucial piece of the puzzle.

Clearview have contacted us with information on their latest and as yet unannounced Windows CE based UMPC, but by their own definition - they have a problem.

The XL43 UMPC doesn't have a consumer name, and they have asked us exclusively to help remedy the problem. Csaba Tomas, president of Clearview Technology has one question. "I would like to ask the community what would they name this product?"

So can you rise to the challenge? Get your creative juices flowing and if your idea is accepted you could be responsible for naming a production Windows CE UMPC right here through HPC:Factor!

If you would like to enter, add your name idea to the poll above and vote on your favourite UMPC name. Also post a reply stating your idea and thoughts on the XL43.

The device hasn't been given its final marketing name, Clearview are still rolling around with ideas and wanted to ask the community for ideas.

Looks very cool. When my poor Jornada 728 gets left in the unsupported-technology dust, it's nice to know that someone is thinking of us handheld users!

HI ALL!

Ohh well, I guess you don't mind NOT having the DIGITAL CAMCORDER function on the Q5.

Good luck with the name hunt!

The Clearview Aura.

Kinda hooks onto Aero (go along with the Vista buzz) which should generate some additional exposure. It's short, and with the features listed on the back, my personal Aura started radiating quite a bit.

Wikipedia:
Quote
In parapsychology, spirituality and New Age belief, an aura is a subtle field of luminous multicolored radiation surrounding a person or object as a cocoon or halo.[1] An aura may be held to represent or be composed of soul vibrations or chakras, and may reflect the moods or thoughts of the person it surrounds.

The Clearview Nermal.

After my cat.

Wikipedia:
Quote
Cute gray kitten who flaunts his cuteness (the self-proclaimed cutest kitten in the world), which annoys Garfield immensely. Nermal also has a very sarcastic and insulting attitude

The Clearview iCE (.Net).

iPod hook ofcourse.

(I want one for testing please)

Not bad. I'd put that up there with MyPad.
