With large flash cards getting cheap I'm carrying more and more sensitive data around. Loss or theft of my hpc/flash card is a real possibility. I also have a 20gb USB hdd I take at times. So , what do you use to encrypt/protect your data?

I tried Sentry 2020 and it is terribly slow to encrypt to a 1gb partition on my USB hdd. I got <1Kb/s when encrypting. Plus it hangs a lot. I emailed the vendor about the issues and they didn't have the decency to reply. Good thing I didn't buy the product.

I see there's a commercial version of PGP for CE and wondered if anyone has tried it?

Anyone have any other choices?

I've not used PGP I'm afraid.
However Resco File Explorer 2003 may be worth a look to see if it can do what you need.
It supports RC2 and DES encryption up to 56-bit

Theres a review here:
http://www.hpcfactor.com/reviews/software/file-explorer-4-1/ encryption was only touched upon by the reviewer because of the ammount of features in the application that needed discussion.

Resco sounds interesting enough to try. I hope it can create encrypted partitions. Those are much easier to manage
