We have updated our Windows Vista driver to version 1.0.2 (beta). The updated release builds upon the previous beta driver release, which added connectivity support for the NEC MobilePro and SmartBook range.

The new version adds support for:
- Siemens SIMpad SL4 (CE .net)
- Gotive H41 (CE .net)
- Gotive H42 (CE 5.0)

In addition to the existing support for:
- MobilePro 900 / 900C
- SmartBook G138
- Webbook
- SmartBook 7C

I also Expect that the SLC and CL4 will also work with this driver. I don't want to confirm that support until someone has tested it, and I would naturally be obliged to anyone who could let me know!

In addition, version 1.0.2 is the first official release of an x64 version of the driver.

The driver release remains beta, offering limited support for Handheld PC connectivity under Windows Vista and can be downloaded for free from the CESD.

I don't have Vista AMD64/EM64-T to test the 64-bit version against, and the individual who asked me to make them is for whatever reason not making contact with me; so I am taking the lack of grumbles and thanks as the traditional sign that they work.
If anyone has any problems with the compatible devices on a 64-bit system, please do let me know and I'll try and fix it for you.

Lastly, if anyone has any USB enabled devices which I have not added support for, please contact me and I will happily add it to the official driver redist.

Where is "CESD" located? Is there a link on the H/PC Factor site?

Well done, Chris. I don't run Vista--and I hope I never have to--but I'm very grateful that the workarounds are on your busy radar screen It will be interesting to see how long HPC users can limp along with XP, how long new software/programs will be compatible. A Wifi sync between a Sharp Mobilon 4100 and my XP SP2/AS 3.8 is a daily thing, like breakfast--it'll be hard to give that up.

Thanks again for your work,
Jake

Daniel Norman, you need to install the Sync Centre plugin "WMDC" from the Microsoft Downloads page.

Jake, A-men brother. How anyone can get along without LAN sync is beyond me.

Well, it does make it easier to sync Outlook data to mutliple devices (and to extract CABs from unextractable installer EXE files).

First gooey post

It's interesting to note that Psiwin 2.3.3 will run on Vista, or so say the few, intrepid Psion users who have tried the combination. Too bad you can't sync a Psion with an HPC.

Kinda ironic since the company used both platforms (Epoc and CE).

Dear Sir / Ms.,

I have a H/P Jornada 720, which I love! I'm in the process of purchasing a new PC, and it is difficult to get one without Vista. I understand Intellisync for the 720 doesn't work for Vista, but it sounds like you have a way to do it. I'd certainly like to know more.

Additionally, what's the latest versionh of Microsoft Office that works with Intellisync? I wonder if Office 2007 has any issues.

Thank you for your interest and consideration. I look forward to your comments.

Please have a great day,

Ron

Did you even read the title post in this thread O.o

This is about ActiveSync, not Puma-tech's IntelliSync. I have no idea about IntelliSync on Vista, I don't own it.

The only version of Office that hold formal compatiblity with Vista are 2003 and 2007.
