Nick was just throwing an indirect suggestion of your idea of having an HPC software archive to the site owner, also known by his forum nickname "C:Amie", and yes, there are some users here that would be willing to help you, i just think they're sleeping right now, you know, is about midnight in the western hemisphere

I think that basically Joe's old site is the apitomy of CE 1 software, there isn't all that much else out there which is freeware.

We would be more than willing to host CE1 software, but on the proviso it isn't a clone of Joe Blows site. I know Joe through the community, and have done since ce320. While he may not be activly updating his site any more, it isn't HPC:Factor' place to reign on someone elses crown simply "because we can".

That is my personal view on the situation. What did you have in mind?

I agree with C:Aime on this one, we don't want to clone Joe's site, but we could basicly just reorganise update and expand his collection.

Again, what did you have in mind?

Nick, you be careful that your ISP doesn't knab you for data distribution outside of contract. NThelL are known for it.

C:Aime, Only HPC:Factor, and Some of my friends know that I webhost or anything else to that matter, unless NTL watch there bandwidth very closely (which I have been told they don't*) So as long as NTL are not told that I do, I don't care.

(*Told by former employee)

How is it going Andrew?

They don't keep tabs on bandwidth very much, but they do watch for excessive distribution of certain file types. Lots of .exe hits will get you noticed.
