Windows Media Player 9 Update for Portable Devices

Handheld PC News

Posted 20 years ago | News | Chris Tilley 0 comments

Microsoft have released an update for it's Windows Media Player version 9 which addresses problems with copying media to a Portable device (PDA / MP3 player / Mini Disk etc).

The update addresses a slow down in the copying of files over to the mobile device in direct relation to how much music you have in your Media Library.
The update is for Windows 98SE, Millennium, 2000, XP and 2003 users running Windows Media Player 9 and can be downloaded via Windows Update (Recommended) or through the Knowledge Base (MSKB:Q837272).

This update is only applicable to Handheld PC users who have managed to trick Windows Media Player 9 into talking to their Handheld PCs. If you have Media Player 9 installed we recommend that you install this update anyway.
