NEC have made available new drivers for the HPC2000 based MobilePro 900 and the CE 4.2 .net based MobilePro 900C that allow you to use the built in USB Host port to synchronise with Microsoft ActiveSync 3.7 and above.

The driver, released specifically for Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP is a small modified version of the native USB Sync driver which allows the USB connection to act as a 'Virtual Serial' port.
Users of Windows 98 or Windows Millennium will have to make do with standard Serial synchronisation.

The driver installation is a little unintuitive, requiring manual intervention. A brief readme.txt is provided. Windows 2000 users can ignore the part about creating a System Restore point, as this is not supported under Windows 2000. Professional
