Windows CE 5.0 Screenshots

Handheld PC News

We have added a number of new screenshots from the illusive Windows CE 5.0 (formerly Windows CE Macallan) to the site this morning.

It is hard to believe, but Windows CE 5.0 will be 11 months old tomorrow, having Released To Manufacturing (RTM'd) on July 9th 2004. While there are a very small number of Windows CE devices available to consumer; all of them being webpad devices, the star of the Macallan show is to be the tantalisingly close release of Windows Mobile 5.0. A release which everyone in the Windows CE community will know of in one guise or another over the coming months - proof that Platform Releases to the consumer market are really the crux of what makes Windows Embedded what it is today.
