![]() WinCESoft, creators of the well known GAPI port for Handheld PC's have updated their flag-ship application RemoteControl II. Reviewed here on HPC:Factor last year, RemoteControl II offers the user of any Windows CE 3.0 or above mobile device the ability to use their H/PC to interface with and control almost any Infrared enabled consumer device.
The new release boasts a large range of new features and enhancements over the previous version, and including transparent Bitmap support for button icons, a reduced memory footprint, greater Windows Mobile 5.0 compatibility as well as a number of stability and general bug fixes. Version 2.00 is a free upgrade for all registered users, a session limited trial is available for testing with registration costing $29 USD / €25 EUD (£17.50 GBP, ¥3500 JPY est.)
