After a recess of nearly two years the original Pocket Excel replacement has returned with a bang for 2006!

SpreadCE, the fully featured spreadsheet replacement for the Handheld PC and Palm-Size PC has been refreshed with a major new version. Almost seven years after it first hit our screens, the release now features builds for CE core devices, the Pocket PC as well as Windows Mobile and continues to innovate along the same strengths of the original product.

Highlights from the release are:
  • Ground up rewrite of the software code
  • Significant performance improvments
  • Support for Pocket Excel templates
  • Feature enhanced Macro engine
  • New formatting controls
A full list of changes can be found in the changelog published on the Bye Design site.

SpreadCE 2.0 is available for all non-SuperH processors at a cost of $20 USD (£11.45 GBP, €16.40 EUD, ¥2300 JPY est.) per-platform & per-processor. Registered users of a qualifying version 1 release can upgrade for free.
