![]() NS Basic have announced the availability of NS Basic/CE 6.5. Major new features include support for Code Modules and direct calls to Windows API functions.
NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows the creation of applications on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows CE devices, including the Handheld PC. A unique feature of the development tool is that it can also be used to develop on the device itself as well as from an IDE on the desktop. "The new release adds significant functionality and ease of use." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "Being able to call API functions directly from NS Basic programs adds a tremendous amount of power. Code Modules allow better organization and code sharing, especially in large projects." The release also delivers numerous user interface improvements. A utility for converting eMbedded Visual Basic apps (eVB) to NS Basic/CE has been updated, and new samples and documentation have been added. There are also over 30 other improvements in the new release. Upgrades are available at no charge to current users of NS Basic/CE 6 with discounted upgrades being available to users of older versions. For a limited time, a $50.00 USD rebate is being offered on all new purchases of the product. View: NS Basic Corporation Posted on 01 June 2006 at 09:43By Chris Tilley (C:Amie)
