Status of Progress for HPCFactor.com

Handheld PC News

Posted 21 years ago | Press Release | Chris Tilley 0 comments

The staff of HPCFactor.com would like to give an update of status on the site based on the numerous emails we have received from software vendors, hardware vendors, other Handheld PC website owners and, most importantly, the HPC community.

As of today all of the servers needed to host the site are now in place. We are currently in the process of determining what format we will present the site in as well as what software applications will be used and/or needed. Our internal mail servers will be completely online shortly as well, giving all of the staff email accounts.

In addition, final decisions are being made on the type of software we will be using for the Community Message Center, the first and perhaps most important part of HPCFactor. We hope to have all of the decisions made this week with a goal of activating the CMC in the early part of April. We are also working with software vendors to possibly have areas in the CMC where they can answer specific questions about their products in an open forum.

Another key aspect of HPCFactor will be tutorials and reviews. As of today we have no less than 8 new products to review and are in production on 3 new tutorials. It is our goal to have these online by mid-to-late April.

Finally, we are working on our branding of the site and will likely have that completed next week.

We encourage anyone with questions concerning HPCFactor, the staff or our timeline to email us through our Editor, Chris Tilley. He can be reached via email. Contact
