HPC:Factor Logo
When we reluctantly introduced the e-mail verification system on the forums as a method of countering the unacceptable levels of SPAM posts that we were receiving, we notified the community that we would eventually seek to clean-up the user registrations database.

We have decided that we will begin this process as of 1st January 2009. This means:
  • If you are registered, logged in and can post on the forums, you have to do nothing!
  • If you registered after 23rd May 2008 you have until 31st December 2008 to activate your account through the methods outlined in 'Site Help' at the link below or to contact an administrator if you are having problems.
  • If you registered on or before 23rd May 2008 you must validate your user account within the next few months. We will continue to send out periodic reminder emails to users who have not validated.
  • If you no longer require your HPC:Factor user account and have not validated, please do nothing. It will be automatically deleted over the next few months
If you have any questions, concerns or problems please contact the webmaster via the Contact Page.

What does this all mean? It hasn't been explained so that I can understand.

What do you not understand?

Firstly, 'You have to do nothing!'. Nothing on HPC: Factor?
Secondly, how do I validate?

Can you post on the forums?

You're registered. You can log in. You can post on the forums.

You have to do nothing

If you don't have an account and post as a guest, you have to go through the registration and validation. But you, Paspie, don't.

Heh, your use of name days confused me for a moment there.

I doubt that I will get around to it until the afternoon of the 1st. The only people who will be impacted by this registered between 24th May 2008 and 1st December 2008. the trailing 30 days will have a bit longer to validate.

I am doing weekly mail shot reminders to the unvalidated database at the moment. The the 818 users with fake or inactive email addresses, I hope you read this before you decide you want your account.
