The incredibly popular PocketDVD, by PocketDVD.ca has been updated to version 2.0.
Marking the end of a beta program which saw 9 beta releases and two release candidates, the second version of the acclaimed multimedia optimisation and conversion utility sports an impressive list of fixes, enhancements and new features.
Built on the success of the PocketDVD 1.0 and 1.1 releases, and predominantly targeting the features requests made by the users of the program itself. Version 2.0 continues to be the only video optimisation program to formally support any generation of the Handheld PC which is able to play back DivX and now XVid. Including specific features orientated towards the Handheld PC user, such as the trade mark Screen Rating optimisation ID, the new release includes an updated wizard like user interface, a substantially reduced installation footprint as well as new input and output codec support including QuickTime and XVid.

PocketDVD 2.0 is a free update for registered users of the 1.1 release, and for a limited time costs only $14.95 USD (£7, €10, ¥1400 etc.).
