BBC Expands Mobile Services

British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Logo
The BBC has expanded its range of mobile services, integrating existing services into a common access portal, and expanding the service with new content.

There are two versions of the BBC Mobile Services site, a standard PDA resolution versions, and an ultra-low WML edition designed for use over WAP phone services. Services currently available on BBC Mobile include:
  • Christmas

  • BBC Movies

  • BBC News

  • BBC Sport

  • CBBC

  • Highlights

  • Entertainment

  • Live + Learn

  • My Club (Football)

  • Bitesize

  • Lottery

  • Traffic

  • Weather

  • What's on TV/Radio

  • What Not to Wear

All the BBC Mobile services are available for free, however H/PC users wishing to access the WAP edition will need to make settings changes to their Handheld PC in order to access the content. Information on the required changes can be found in the CESD.
