Familiar to Handheld PC users under its original name Pocket DVD, DVD Catalyst is getting ready for its 2.0 release in the coming weeks.

An important application to the community, DVD Catalyst is the only Video / DVD ripping & conversion application to formally support the Handheld PC in its conversion processing, making it the 'must have' accessory for any budding H/PC Videophile.

New features slated for the release at this stage are:
  • Multi-drive support
  • VOB conversion support with subtitle, chapter and language capabilities
  • DVD-ROM ISO Conversion
  • Improved File system conversion
  • VCD/SVCD ISO support
  • Greatly expanded device support
  • More Profile settings
  • Multiple devices in a single profile
  • New cropping engine
  • Streamlined interface
Version 2.0 of DVD Catalyst (what would be Pocket DVD 4.0) is still very much in development. DVD Catalyst are always looking for feedback and ideas from existing users, so if you have some thoughts on how to make the program even better for use with the Handheld PC, or indeed any portable device, please take the time to get in touch with the developers.
