Development over at Bye Design is continuing full throttle this month with a minor version update for the award winning SpreadCE being released to the public as we bring you this message. You heard it here first at HPC:Factor!
The bug-fix release, SpreadCE 2.01 corrects a number of bugs, and a memory leak issue in the newly updated macro engine. The changelog for the 2.01 release lists the changes as:
- Fixed a bug with entering function names containing accented characters
- Fixed a bug with passing of cell references to user-defined functions
- Fixed a bug with exponentiation of error values
- Fixed a bug with the TEXTREF function
- Fixed a memory leak in the FOR.CELL macro function
- Fixed a bug with discontinuous ranges in charts
- Fixed a bug with recalculation of dependent cells on secondary sheets
- Fixed a bug with the LOOKUP & MATCH functions not searching the entire range
The update - which is free to registered users, will be available for public download within the coming hours. The issuing of the update to us at HPC:Factor within the last hour comes only months after the initial release of SpreadCE 2 demonstrating the fast pace and responsiveness of Stephen Bye, lead developer on the SpreadCE project, and a strong willingness that the SpreadCE user base be kept up-to-date with the latest releases and innovations.
