Developers for Windows CE 4.0 and 5.0 based devices will be familiar with the eMbeded Visual C++ 4.0 suite as part of their Windows CE developers' arsenal.

eVC4 as an application release has been subject to a number of service pack (SP) updates over its history, however since the issuing of Service Pack 4 in July 2004 there have also been a small number of patches and updates for the EVC suite.
While specific details over all of the updates are sketchy, the latest of the update releases was issued as early as last month. The updates are applicable to both Platform releases and Core releases.
