MSN Messenger Lockdown Update

We have received helpful correspondences from both the Microsoft Research Portrait team and Ruksun within the last few hours.

Suffice it to say, both teams are looking into how the Messenger network changes will affect their products and will be getting back to us as soon as they have information.

We're awaiting information from mov Software regarding imov Messenger.

Microsoft are to issue a security lockdown of the Messenger Network on October 15th 2003 which will affect third party Messenger clients who are not licensed to connect to Messenger.

The changes also affect host systems running versions older than Windows Messenger (for XP) 4.7.2009 and MSN Messenger 5.0
