CalliGrapher 6.6 and Windows CE 4Handheld PC News Posted 19 years ago | News | Chris Tilley 0 comments
We dropped an e-mail to the good people at Phatware overnight. Given how efficient they are, it was no surprise to promptly see a reply waiting this morning.
Users who saw the CalliGrapher 6.6 press release on the 5th and who have Windows CE4 based devices, we can confirm that Calligrapher 6.6 will work under CE .net. "...it works on MobilePro 900 (we tested in on the prototype device) and is compatible with Windows CE 4.x and XScale CPU." Calligrapher is also XScale compatible, meaning that original MobilePro 900 users should have no trouble running the application. Phatware did mention however that support for Windows CE 4 may not be universal. This is due to Microsoft making some of the library files required by Calligrapher optional for the CE 4 Platform Builder (the utility where Windows CE ROM images are created) registered OEM's. If you have any CE 4 success story's (or even failures) please be sure to pass them onto Phatware. In the mean time we hope to bring you a full review of Calligrapher 6.6 in the not to distant future. View: Phatware Posted on 07 May 2004 at 00:00By Chris Tilley (C:Amie)
