Just to wet your whistle we have a Windows CE 5.0 Macallan screenshot for you.
Macallan - so named along the lines of all recent Windows CE Core releases with suitably Scottish names - is the next generation of the Windows CE Core Operating System due for release in Q4 of this year.

Windows CE 5, like CE 4 is a core Operating System, meaning that features you would expect from the likes of HPC2000 - such as Pocket Office - are not present within the Operating System. Leaving the device feature list somewhat sparse out of the box. Features such as Pocket Office are delivered in Platforms, such as Ozone (Windows Mobile 2003) and which sit on-top of the Core OS. No such Platform has existed for the H/PC since the 1999 release of HPC2000.

For more information on Windows CE 5 and the future of Windows CE, see out History of Windows CE timeline.
