Handheld PC News

Finnish software developer Slob-Trot Software Oy, creators of the Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Browser Winwap have announced that in the coming weeks they will be completing their corporate transition from Slob-Trot Software Oy into Winwap Technologies Oy. The name change is reflective of their main product line. A product by which most people know the company as.

While their website and corporate presence has not as yet been updated to reflect the announcement Winwap are currently in the process of completing the change over and will have a new, more informative and diverse site up soon.
While currently no formal trial build exists of the Winwap application for use on the Handheld PC. H/PC users can contact the support team to request more information on the Handheld solutions they can offer. Uniquely, as discussed before here on HPC:Factor, Winwap program their software on a model by model basis rather than creating a universal build for each platform (H/PC Pro, HPC2000, Pocket PC 2002 etc.). This is an interesting approach to ensuring compatibility, with Beta testers being very important under this development model.
